Co-Writer and Director / CD of this new entertainment experience - merging theatre, immersive storytelling and live music in a 44,000 sq ft space. The show tells the story of Elvis's origins and his musical roots, through the lens of his childhood friend Sam Bell.

Audiences arrive at Elvis's 1968 TV special just as he suffers a crisis of confidence moments before he is due on stage; they are then whisked back in time on a journey to rediscover his and Sam’s origins, while Elvis must rediscover himself to find the courage to step out into the lights.

I developed and concepted the show working with the IP holders, and led the creative team over 18 months directing the film and digital content across the US & London, along with the live performance and theatre elements.

The aim was to deconstruct the myth of Elvis, for a new generation. We utilised previously unreleased interviews with Sam Bell - Elvis's childhood friend - who shared his personal recollections of Elvis's early musical experiences and their friendship in the Black neighbourhood of Tupelo where they grew up.
